CYANOTYPES & ANNA ATKINS
Cyanotypes were made famous when Anna Atkins started using that process in the 1800's. She got introduced to making cyanotypes by her first husband John Pelly Atkins. She started her real work in 1843 when she published her 12 part book 'British Algae; Cyanotype Impressions'. This was the first ever book to be published with original photographs. This made he a real pioneer with a new art form.

This is my second attempt at a cyanotype. I didn't really like this one because it came out a bit too blurred. It could have been more visible so people who are looking at it have a rough idea what it may be in the picture. I think you can see that it is a leaf shape. It's definitely clearer than the first attempt.
